With the booming of the highway construction in China, construction problems of cut-fill sections are meeted more and more frequently. As a whole, the design theoretical research on cut-fill sections is still at the starting stage our country, restricting the construction quality and long-term serviceability after building up of the highway engineering seriously.Based on the investigations on several highway routes of china and abroad, combining with the characteristic of the WanPing highway area, major types of distresses in those routes were all identified. Based on the elastic layer system of ANSYS,a plane strain finite element model, which may compute the additional stress of asphalt pavement, is drawn to analyze the influences of the asphalt pavement due to the cut-fill sections. And the furthermore advices to avoid premature distress is advanced. The principle technical methods to avoid premature distresses of pavement and subgrade at cut-fill section of highway are advanced.The results of this study is gained on basis of abroad investigation and experiments for subgrade and pavement construction design parameters by long time research and analysis. The characteristic of this thesis is that a mass of test data are studied and analyzed under theory guidance. The research result accords with the highway engineering fact. So , it will even play an active role in instructing highway design in Henan province, improving engineering quality and developing road design method of our country.
