Low-power and Single-cylinder Engine is generally reassembled from gasoline engine. After advanced ignition angle is demarcated and optimised over again, the use of Ignition Systems based on computer control instead of the Ignition System based on General Electronic control of former gasoline engine can enhance the power and economy of fuel.Ignition System based on computer control of Low-power and Single-cylinder EC2500C Engine designed and developed is presented in this paper. Whole research mainly includes from the design to produce and equip of experiment device, the development of hardware and software for Ignition System based on computer control, the development of software for monitoring system and the study of the EC2500C engine. The Ignition System is composed of fewer hardware, so it is a cheap but highly performance device. It has strong capability to withstand the electromagnetic interference for the using of the anti-interference technique in design. The monitoring software has friendly interface between the user and the system. It can display online and store the data presented by ECU, what's more , control the ignition of engine if necessary. Compared with Ignition System based on former General Electronic control, on the condition of stoichiometric burn, the use of Ignition System based on computer control can enhance the motive power of EC2500C Engine, increasing by 5. 07%. It also enhances the economy of fuel.
