The slope stability analysis has been one of the important topics of the rock-soil engineering field research since 60's in the last century. Up to the present, the slope stability analysis mainly has two kinds of methods: one is the rigid limited-equilibrium method which uses extensively in the engineering; the other one is FEM (the Finite Element Method) which treat the slope problem as a mathematics and physics problem to calculate. This paper adapts the latter method, which simulates the slope excavation step by step based on FEM method.In the rock-soil engineering, the soil pressure caused by slope excavation is very complicate .It not only withes pays to the reinforced structure displacement, stiffness and geological condition, but also related with the excavation method. Formerly, the construction method of excavation step former than reinforcement step brings much destroys influence on the slope and causes many disasters, which can only be used in lower slope. For medium the high slope, we uses the method of pre- consolidate method. The reinforcement measure keeps up with the excavation and reduce the disturb effect on the slope as far as possible. But the soil pressure is very complex in its all aspects, which include the size, direction, distribution, etc. How to simulate the stress distribution caused by excavation are the main contents in this paper.The core part of the article lies in the simulation calculation that makes use of the ANSYS software. The slope is supposed as a two- dimension plane strain problem and the soil is supposed as an ideal elastic-plastic material that obeys Drucker- Prager suppose, and makes use of four-node' element to simulate. By analysis of the variety of the stress and strain caused by every excavation, we may get the influence results of the excavation clearly.Furthermore, the red-clay distribute widely in Guizhou Province, domestic and international experts have made thorough research, but the technical progress is gradually perfect in the continuously research on our nature, this paper chooses a red-clay slope to simulate.
