With the aid of orthogonal method, the method that produces self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete with good-workability is researched using conventional technics and local raw materials. The mixture proportions of steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete in definite rate for replacement of cement by fly ash and volume fraction of steel fiber are suggested. On this base, the experimental study and theoretical analysis on the performances of self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete under compression, split, flexure are carried on. The main results are as follows.1. The effect of steel fiber of different types and volume ratio, rate for replacement of fly ash by cement, manner of casting specimens on cubic compressive strength, axial compressive strength and elastic modulus are researched through 45 self -compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete specimens of 100mm×100mm × 100mm, 81 of 150mm × 150mm × 150mm and 120 of 150mm × 150mm × 300mm. The influence coefficient of steel fiber volume ratio on compressive strength of steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete and the calculating formulas of cubic compressive age strength with different rate for replacement of cement by fly ash are put forward.2. The effect of rate for replacement of cement by fly ash, manner of casting specimens, steel fiber of different types and volume ratio on splitting properties of self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete are researched, through 45 self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self- compacting concrete specimens of 100mm × 100mm × 100mm and 81 of 150mm × 150mm × 150mm. The relation between splitting tensile strength and compressive strength and the effects of steel fiber types and volume ratio on behavior of the deformation of split failure are discussed. The relation of compressive strength and splitting strength of self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete are put forward respectively.3. The effect of rate for replacement of cement by fly ash, manner of casting specimens, steel fiber of different types and volume ratio on bending strength and the effect of steel fiber types and volume ratio on flexural toughness are researched through 81 self-compacting concrete and steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete specimens of 100mm × 100mm × 400mm. The influence coefficient of steel fiber on bending strength of steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete is suggested.
