Ceramsite concrete modified by rubber particle is a new building material which was studied in this paper. On the basis of the researches on the effect of the kind, amount, fineness of rubber particle upon the mechanical properties of cement mortar, in view of the lower mechanical properties of rubber particle concrete, all kinds of additives were used to modify the surface of R-C and raise the rubber particle mortar's flexural strength and compressive strength, then we choose two better modification methods. Simultaneously, ceramsite concrete modified by rubber particle was compounded according to two modification methods, the specimens were cured for prescribed ages in the water, in 50℃ box , on the roof respectively and then tested for flexural strength, compressive strength and split tensile strength. Besides, this paper indicated the thermal conductivity of ceramsite concrete with different amount of modified rubber particle; drying shrinkage of rubber particle mortar with different additives; the shrinkage of rubber particle concrete in different curing conditions and the crack-resistance of rubber particle concrete.We get the following conclusions through the experiment researches.(1) As the increase of the amount of rubber particle, the strength of mortar will decrease; the kind of rubber particle is no visible influence on the...
