With the help of CFX, making numerical flume and using it into the simulation of wave or wave-current forces on circular cylinder is introduced in this paper. Based on the principle of wave, the simulation of wave generator and wave or wave-current forces on circular cylinder is presented by using CFX. An attempt is made to adjust the conditions of 2-D numerical flume to get accurate and economical results of it.The simulation of irregularly wave is very important in the research of wave. Using the numerical flume, the method of the simulation of irregularly wave and by appending factitiously interference to increase the probability of the freak wave generation is discussed, and the results of the random and freak waves generated according to P-M spectrum is forecasted in this paper.Structures build like a cylinder or cylinder groups are widely used in harbor engineering and offshore engineering today. And the wave or wave-current forces on cylinder and the influence to the wave field due to structures become very important in the research of hydrodynamics. Using numerical flume, a series of simulation of wave or wave-current forces on circular cylinder were made. Comparing with the results of theory and physical experiments, the techniques of choosing parameters were proved, and the feature of wave or wave-current forces was analyzed. The changes of the wave and current in the wave-current field were also discussed in this paper. |
