The Design And Analysis For Reticulated Domes Used In Gymnasiums

As Following the footsteps of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, and the improvement of people's physical training consciousness, Gymnasiums construction are spreading all over the country. Reticulated domes, one type of the long span structures, are widely used in gymnasiums. This thesis mainly discusses the technique and the art of reticulated domes in gymnasium, including the relationship of the space form the architecture configuration and the structure. Mainly from design method and model, this thesis analyses many problems of gymnasiums deign. To enhance the persuasion, lots of example analyses are employed in this thesis.On the technique of structure, the stability is the key problem on the structural design of reticulated domes, Only by the load-displacement geometry nonlinear analysis during the whole process of the structure, the stability capability of the single-layer unite reticulated domes can be estimated rightly. This thesis studies on the stability capability of the single-layer ellipsoid reticulated domes deeply. This has some reference value for the stability design and analysis of the single-layer ellipse reticulated domes.At last, it gives an example of a gymnasium architecture design adopted the ellipsoid reticulated dome to summarize this thesis. It introduces the design idea and the progress of Lingnan college gymnasium, including the criterions of the gymnasium design and the rules of law. Get hold of the emphases and difficulty, and translate the disadvantage into the design characteristic. It emphasizes the importance of multifunctional design. Static Analysis indicates the feasibility of the plastic art.In a word, this thesis essentially discusses the unification of the technology (esp. structure) and art of architecture, mainly about the reticulated domes used in gymnasium.
