The matching between engine and powertrain will directly affect the performance and fuel economy. Passenger car performance and fuel economy not only depend on the engine performance, but also on the transmission parameters and the powertrain matching. Therefore, in order to obtain better fuel economy, the passenger car transmission parameters should be optimized to make the engine work almost in the low fuel consumption region when it operates in the real driving modes. In this paper, the matching between 495QME engine and powertrain of CDK6710 passenger car was researched and improved. On the foundation of sufficiency study with the internal and external literatures correlate with the problem, the numerical simulation models of the passenger car, including the vehicle model of passenger car, engine fuel-consumption performance model, powertrain model, driver control model and various driving operations model were established by the using of CRUISE software. The simulation of driving operation was compartmentalized excruciating particularity. The driver model should imitate the behavior of a real driver as well as possible. For this purpose, the staring behavior was defined by taking into account the coalesce process about the drive side and take-off side of the friction clutch, the driving behavior was defined by taking into account the change of acceleration pedal position, arrester pedal position and clutch pedal position in the shifting process. The engine stable experiment and passenger car road test were done in order to build the engine model and testify the accuracy of the simulation by CRUISE. The accuracy of numerical simulation was justified by comparing the results of simulation with experimental data. This also validated the feasibility of CRUISE software. The 495QME engine performance was improved to satisfy the requirements of the passenger car. We also improved the matching between the engine and the powertrain of the CDK6710 passenger car based on the vehicle mapping characteristics and power-speed diagram. Overdrive gear was mounted, and the ratios of the gearbox and single ratio transmission were adjusted to conform to the demand. The computer simulation results of the improved passenger car showed that the performance and fuel economy were improved. It was proved that the method which combines computer simulation and the tradition method was beneficial to reducing the development cycle and cost of the product. It is convenient to discover the question in time... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Engine, Powertrain, Matching, Model, Performance, Fuel Economy, Simulation | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
