In our country, asphalt pavement with semi-rigid base course is the main type of high-grade highway, According to investigation and analysis of the highway damage condition, it can be found that the damage of dynamic loading is very serious and the study on pavement response to dynamic load has significant meaning. Dynamic response analysis of asphalt pavement structure is a complicated problem. Generally, the study on this problem is conducted from two respects: theoretical research and numerical analysis. Considering the characteristics of traffic load and materials, this thesis researches the computational method of layered elastic system and layered viscoelastic system under dynamic loading. First of all, the model of asphalt pavement will be built. By utilizing such mathematics tools as Laplace and Hankel integral transformations, etc. and elastic, viscoelastic mechanics knowledge, the research of the theory will be carried on. It will be composed of two aspects: the study on stress and displacement of layered elastic system and theoretical research of layered viscoelastic system concerning stress and displacement.But, because the formula of body mechanics of layered system is tedious, especially the complicated integral transformation is involved, it has been limited to applied to the practical project. In the last few years, because of the development of finite element technology, especially the appearance of various kinds of large-scale software of finite element, for example, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SAP, MSC.MARC, the application of this theory is made more convenient. So according to the supposition of elastic layered system and characteristic of asphalt pavement with semi-rigidity base course, finite element software ANSYS will be employed to develop 3-D model. And investigating dynamic response of asphalt pavement structure under dynamic loading, analyzing the displacement, stress, strain distribution and characteristic of pavement under dynamic loading. Through comparing the dynamic response under moving load and braking force, the destruction mechanism of asphalt pavement will be summarized. The research of this paper will attempt to find the law of the stress, strain of layered pavement structure under dynamic loading, calculate some useful numerical results by numerical calculation. This paper will be a great reference to the pavement structure design, consruction and maintain.
