This measurement system is mainly suitable for the measurement of the typical fragment windward area. After synthetically calculating the fragment windward area and the measurement data of the speed, we can obtain the initial velocity of the shot and the decay coefficient of the fragment. The result obtained by this method is more accurate and scientific than the present area cutting theory, and meantime it can avoid the abnormal phenomena of the acceleration speed fragment and constant speed fragment.The measurement is simulated by "regular icosahedron " method, utilizing the direct current moment electric motor and the photoelectrical axis angle encoder, the rotation of the shot carrier and the CCD camera is completed, and can orientation the rotating angle, so that the system can make the CCD camera to measure the square diagraph in 16 independent projections. Each scope of the measuring size is very large, to satisfy the diagraph accuracy, needing the optical system has large magnification, change the focal length automatically and adjust the function of the focal length automatically, guaranteeing clear image on the CCD camera, after collecting the data through the image, the average value of the fragment windward area will be obtained.
