Aimed to acquire high efficiency and high frequency of the converter, this paper researches on the forepart of the Aeronautical Static Inverter(ASI)—DC/DC converter. The forepart of the ASI has characters as follows: Low and wide range of the input voltage, high input current and usually be used in middle and small Power applications. Based on the comprehensive research on DC/DC converter topologies,the novel interleaved flyback converter is presented and studied in this paper.Firstly, the summarize of the development and actuality of flyback converter is given, and different snubber circuits applied in the flyback converter are analyzed and compared。Then the novel interleaved flyback topology is proposed.The novel interleaved flyback converter is researched systemically based on theoretical analysis and experimental studies in this paper. Because of the clamping capacitor and the interleaved structure, it has some good features compared with other flyback converters, such as: the topology is simple and can be realized easily; the voltage spike of the power switch is availably restrained and without leakage-inductance energy loss; the ripple of the input and output current is reduced, correspondingly, the volume and weight of the output and input filter is also significantly reduced. The detailed theoretical analysis of this novel interleaved flyback converter and the key design process are described, the functions of the clamping capacitor are analyzed, the little signal model of the presented converter is established and the stability of the voltage-controlled system is discussed. At last, a prototype based on the novel interleaved flyback converter is accomplished and experimentally verified.
