In recent years, along with the enlarging of national construction and carrying on of the western development, the highway construction is on the rise in our country, the stability problem about rock slope correspondingly increases during the highway construction project. The slope stability relates directly to the project time, the construction security, the environment (protection) and the safety operation of road. Therefore, the research of slope stability has the extremely important practical significance on how to prevent the slope destabilization, as well as to treate slope to guarantee the stability of slope.The paper first reviewed the current state of stability investigation and development of treatment technology in the domestic and foreign, briefed the development of numerical methods in detail.
