It is a kind of new dam type developed to RCC dam in recent years, but a lot of projects are stored in the crack in various degree. The temperature stress is to cause the chief load of the body crack of dam , play a controlling role. Dam body material and structural pattern play an important role too. This paper put forward an available empirical method for the anti-crack calculating about RCC dams , produce crack go on stability analyze , judge the crack expand depth steadily already; Calculate and confirm that RCC gravity dam temperature control standard according to practical experience of the project and theoretical calculation, and take some anti-crack measures.Because the finite element computational process is very complicated, the calculating amount is enormous, it is very difficult that project personnel to manage. On the basis study to the mass concrete temperature stress project calculating method in this paper, the calculation method will be carried on RCC dams according to characteristic of RCC after the original method is modified and mended correspondingly. According to the achievement analysis of the project example, the result of the calculation accords with this principium design and actual project experience.Use the relevant theories of fracture mechanics , has confirmed one section of surfaces crack stability criterion of dam , judge the crack expands the depth steadily. In the course of calculating in fracture of the crack, the calculation of the intensity factor of the stress is a key factor, stress intensity factor have many kinds of calculating methdos, a commonly used one have finite element calculate.In structural design , it is the important measure which controls the crack to make a parting rationally. This paper has proposed taking the comprehensive temperature-controled measure in the course of RCC dam to pave and build. Especially, in severe cold area, it is very essential that reinforcing heat preservation in winter. Also propose a method of disposing crack, can apply to RCC dam.
