| Automobile industry is one of the important mainstay domains in the future economy development of China, and will have a much huger market with the enlargement of bourgeois. People always fix their attention on three aspects of automobile—capability, price and appearance. When an industrial designer designs a car body, they have to think better of the three aspects and deal with them carefully. Based on aerodynamics analysis a flexible design method on car-body model is present in this paper.Car-body design is restricted to mechanical engineering, human factors and aerodynamics. The former two elements decide the basic car-body framework, and that is to say the restriction from the inside of car-body;meanwhile, the last element, aerodynamics is much more important to a car-body shape. Especially with the horsepower enhancement of engine and improvement of traffic conditions, the car moving speed greatly increases. The design method based on aerodynamics is good for industrial designers to consider car-body shape integrally.In this paper, computational numerical simulation is performed to analyses three basicshapes------notch back, square back and fast back------of modern car-body, demonstrate theiraerodynamics characteristics, which make it easy to realize the aerodynamic drag, lift and turbulence conditions during the prophase of car-body design. Combined with hydro-theory and experience, an ideal car-body model is drawn out according to its boundary limit. With the aid of computer and CFD simulation, car-body details are optimized, and the final design model is worked out at last.In this paper, the method of flow field simulation and industry design application on car-body design is studied and analyzed. The design method based on aerodynamics is discussed particularly, which presents a new way for car-body design. |
