Power transformer, one of the most important devices, directly relates to the security and stability of power system. The gas solved in oil may inflect the inner insulation aging status and defects in transformer. On the base of deep research of gas solved in oil on-line monitoring and diagnosing technique, this paper states the relations between densities of gas solved in oil and electrical defects of transformer, presents the principle and solution of on-line monitoring system with eigenvalue of gas solved in oil.The DSP technology is involved in many subjects and DSP have egregious developmental potential. This technology is far and wide used in many domains for instance communication system, information process, automation and military affairs. TMS320LF2407 DSP processor provide the process ability of low cost, low power, high performance, several advanced equipments are embedded in the 2407 chip, which can predigest the design of system. The instruction cycle of 2407 is shortened to 33ns, which fulfill the demand of real time. Why the TMS320LF2407 DSP processor is choosed to be the core part of on-line monitoring system is just because the 2407 DSP's excellent performance in the field of digital control.The paper briefly analyzes concepts of oil chromatogram on-line monitoring system, and then proposes the hardware and software structure which uses industrial level microcontroller AT 89C52 as master CPU, TMS320F2407 as the slave CPU, and can perform measurement and processing.In this paper, diagnosis method based on DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis) is analyzed. IEC standard, fuzzy theory and expert system are integrated to diagnose the transformer faults. C++ Builder and Access are employed as development tools to develop a transformer fault diagnosis system based on DGA. The system is short in codes and easy to maintain, amend and extend. This method is very meaningful and applicable.
