The steam trap is a valve that releases condensate water in steam pipe network system. the main function is releasing rapidly condensate water from every steam equipment in manufacturing, and it can guarantee normal variable on temperature and pressure, reduce waste of steam, increase thermal efficiency and reach the purpose of energy conservation, is widely applied in steam conveyer equipment , heating equipment and heat exchange equipment from various kinds of industries including petroleum, chemical, energy power, pharmaceutical, building, etc.The thesis discusses firstly general situation of steam trap and the steam trap experiment. according to the GB,the practical situation of manufactory and the ideas of modern design, Three types of total structural design program of automatic test system in steam trap experiment are put forward.After continuous research and test, the best system is selected. The system that is made up by sensor, intelligent instrument with communication function, RS485/RS232 translating unit, computer, configuration software completes the assignment of testing, data acquisition and first treatment. The data treatment software developed in VC++6.0 completes the assignment of auto data analysis and treatment. At the same time, on the basis of some various model and standard steam trap experiment, the configuration methods of the date acquisition system and the realization methods of the date processing system are main discussed as well and resolve the problem about the stepwise acquisition and processing of uncontinuous experiment data.The system put into effect of parameter testing, date acquisition, data processing. After the system has been run, the results of the operation show that the system is stable, economical, reliable with excellent effects.
