Analysis On The Deformation Of Simple Exposed Steel "Fixed" Column Base

It is difficulty to use simplified theory to describe column base's behavior under loads accurately, and we can not gain enough test date because there have many limits on the experiment study. For a long time there have no lucubrate about the peculiarity and fracture mechanism of fixed column base. There also have no comments about actual deformation of fixed column base and fixed column base can not be the same with tradition supposition After introducing the analysis theory of plate and bolt deformation. Tradition finite element method is applied in this paper to analyze the behaviors of column base connections under axial loads and moments. Contact problems between concrete base surface and column base, bolt nut and neighborhood plate, bolt shank and bolt hole are simulated really.Although Code for design of steel structure (GB50017) add some chapters about the join modality of column base , but Code didn't involve the standardization about design of column base. In order to determine the computational length of column , in Code for design of steel structure only compartmentalize the restriction of column base into "pinned" or "fixed" without other modality. Compared in this paper that the research was made before on the rotational restricted stiffiiess of column base. With experimental information and relational analysis, it is introduced that the variation stiffiiess column base modeling which is relative with axial force and moment. 17 finite element model species are computed to analyses the modality. Difference between tradition supposition data and result about simulation modality is reasonable. Afterwards, according to a series of analysis ,author bring forward the defining --semi rigid column base. In the base of enough constitution demand, give some advices about the standardization and sort of column base design.
