Comparing Analysis On Mechanical Behavior Of Multi-story Light-gauge Steel Structures

Light-gauge steel structure system is a new type of steel structure,which is widely used abroad,but it is used only for low-story structures. Recently,with the development of steel structures and the supported policies of the related housing-industry,most of domestic corporations product and assemble the residents at home,depending on the whole series of technique and building material product line of Occident countries.Because of the existing obvious differences between the principle and methods of design and application in overseas and that in homeland,it is quite necessary for us to research the load bearing performance of this structure in theory and experiment aspects.In this paper,comparing with concrete structure and so on,the resistence behavior of new type of light-gauge steel structure is researched.It is demonstrated that in most cities of our country.the light-gauge steel structure could be built and it could work well.The work and characteristic as follows:Firstly,introduce current structure systems and characters,engineering examples of steel structures;Secondly, introduce the building methods,characters and engineering examples of light-gauge steel structers;Thirdly, a six-story house made with light-gauge steel is analized by ABAQUS,comparing with current codes;Forthly, Other structures made with steels et at the same conditions are analized by PKPM,comparing with light-gauge steel structure.by analizing,it is pointed out that the developing aspects and the improving aspects waited.
