Tied arch bridge with asymmetrical ribs is a very novel structure, it is a verycomplex process that rib hoisting and remove scaffolding of this type bridge. In orderto satisfy the requirements of design strength and final bridge shape, constructionmonitoring and control is necessary. Based on the real situation of the Dagu Bridgethat is under construction in Tianjin, we calculate the strength state and deformationof structure during the building construction, and present a construction-monitoringscheme.The monitoring method of this bridge is adaptive control, on the condition that thestability meets the requirement, both deformation and stresses are monitored. Duringerecting arch rib, we calculate the stress, strain and deformation of rib, analyze thestability and security of scaffolding, and confirm rib deformation as importantcontrolling point. During removing scaffolding, we calculate the stress, strain anddeformation of structure, confirm suspender tension and structure deformation asimportant controlling point, and use Kalman filter revise design parameter, and usenew parameter to next stage.We calculate the ideal structure state in each stage, and use adaptive control tomonitoring and control structure construction. Through compare calculate datum withsurvey datum, we can see, the arch shape and final state of bridge satisfy therequirements of design. This method can satisfy the requirements of constructionmonitoring and control during building bridge, get the aim of construction monitoringand control.The tied arch bridge, it with asymmetrical ribs and four space cable planes, can getexactitude result that the ideal structure state value calculate by a 3D-FE model. But,design parameter must adjust and revise model repeatedly in the begin constructionmonitoring, in order to imitate the situation with true structure, and achieve the goalof construction monitoring.
