Human has a steady body temperature when it is in the healthy state. But whensome disease happens or something is wrong with the body, there will be somechanges in the body temperature, for example, high fever is the first symptom ofSARS. In order to control the spreading of SARS after it broke out, it was importantto measure body temperature of everyone in the public. In this way, people with anabnormal body temperature will be separated from the others. Because of the stronginfection of SARS, some non-contact measurement must be taken, that is the infraredtemperature measurement base on the infrared radiation from human body.Comparing with other methods of the body temperature measuring, in addition to theaccuracy of the measurement the main problem to be solved is to improve theefficiency of the measurement in the time of SARS. In this dissertation someresearches on the methods of rapid skin temperature measurement will be performed.These researches will be useful to develop the instruments of rapid skin temperaturemeasurement. The main contents of this dissertation include:1. Some researches have been done on the methods of non-contact skintemperature measurement based on the study of the theory of infrared temperaturemeasurement. The theoretic model of 'measurement while moving' was constructed,and the sources of the errors when using such a method were also analyzed.2. The difference of forehead temperature and under-arm temperature was studied,and the effect to separate the high-fever person was analyzed.3. Based on the study of actual system of the skin temperature measurement, theexperimental facility was constructed by using high performance infrared temperatureinstrument and flexible software. And the design of the blackbody has been achieved,which included the design of the form, the circuit and the program based on singlechip computer. The accuracy of the temperature control ability of the black body is upto ± 0.1℃/8 hours.4. Based on the experiment research of non-contact skin temperature measurement,the feasibility of rapid skin temperature measurement using the method of'measurement while moving' was proved. The evaluation of the system in theapplication of forehead temperature mearument and the opinions to eliminate theerrors were given.
