The analysis of stability of underwater rock slope is very important to the practical engineering, for example, when the Three Gorges reservoir is builded, many natural and artificial rock slopes will be drown, then the stability of these slopes will reduce. The comprehensive factors of the water pressure, water leakage, water impaction and water corrosion will endanger the stability of underwater rock slope.Many studies of the analysis of the stability of slope above water have been done, but the analysis of the stability of underwater slope needs to consider not only the stability of slope itself but also the water influence. The recent studies of underwater soil slope have been done in the fields of the calculation mode and some model tests, while the studies of the theory and the calculation mode of underwater rock slope are still in its infancy, especially in the field of the model test.Based on the model tests of the stability of soil slope and the analysis of the rock slope by the finite element method, this article introduces the stability and damage mechanism of underwater rock slope by model tests, which include the ascending and descending water level test and the wave impaction test. Some significant conclusions can be made from the model tests by measuring and analyzing the stress distributions with different structural angles (30° and 50°) slopes in the artificial wave tank: (l)The slope can be divided into three sections with the same variation rules, meanwhile, it's helpful for the analysis of theories and numerical calculation. (2)The stress change curves of the sections correspond to the wave forms. (3)The wave height is the major factor to the wave energy, and the dissemination degree of wave energy is related to the wave period. (4)The longer distance between the front of the slope and the water media, the lower stability of the slope in the ascending and descending water level test, the higher stability of the slope in the wave impaction test. |
