| In the paper,on conditions that in XI'AN special geographical properties,the pile groups'settlement of some engineering is analysed. basing on broading studying the literatrure and datas,the paper establishs pile-soil interaction model and uses some kinds of theories to compute the settlements of pile groups,thus analyses the availability of these theories.Because of the geographical varicosity in XI'AN regions,the makeups of soil in different places are also different,by analysing and simplifying the geotechnical engineering's datas,the paper establishs the calculational model of the engineering pile foundation.As to the distribution of the force applying on the top of pile groups,the paper utilizes the elastic pile theory often used in the foundation engineering.The paper emphasizely analyzes the difference between the computing settlement's datas by using the method of the technical code for building pile foundations and actual the metical settlement's datas, in ord to offer some referencing datas for the experientioal rectification in the settlemnt's compute.The paper discusses the utilization of equivalent pier on the settlement of pile groups and analyses the distribution ration of force applied on the top of pile,combined with Geddes stress formula and Mindlin stess formula with classic layering summation.The paper analyses the elastic theory.Basing on the single pile settlement theory developed by Poulos,ruled by the movement coordination and the balance of force,the paper deduces the pile groups settlement theory.The paper utilizes the finite element method to the settlement of pile groups.After simplifying the soil properities,boundary conditions and the applying forces,the paper computes the settlement utilizing the commercial FEM program,contrary to the computing results given before.The paper discusses some method of pile groups'settlement precasting.The developing direnction of pile groups and the future work is discussed at last.
