The research of simulation platform of satellite in orbit involves some field including dynamics of satellite orbit, computer simulation and geographical information technology. In this thesis the idea of building a simulation platform of satellite in orbit based on GIS control is present, combining the orbit predict technology and computer simulation technology. Firstly, Chapter one reports the background and significance of the project. And international status in this field also is reported. Then the last part of chapter one is the main content of this study. Chapter two describes the framework of the simulation system and the flow of simulation. Secondly, chapter three and chapter four mainly concentrate on dynamics model of orbit and the application in orbit simulation of GIS respectively. The dynamics model of orbit includes the space environment model and the relation model between satellite and observation station on the earth. Also this thesis mentions the application character of the GIS. And then based on the introduction of GIS control named MapObjects, this thesis put forward the application and application prospect in orbit simulation of MapObjects. Finally, the thesis notices the design and implementation of the two main modules: orbit computation module and display module. A simulation instance is described, and through analyzing the simulation result, this thesis presents the functions of the platform that has been designed and the prospect in application in future.
