To some underwater weapons, resolution of it's sonar is a very important technical characteristic. In order to improve and ensure quality of a kind of sonar, a reliable testing system is designed to test it's resolution. The Automatic Drive Equipment for Anti-noise Test Pool is a key part of this system. This dissertation reports result of research on mechanic design, control system design and control methods about this drive equipment. Firstly, based on analyzing the function and technical requirement of the testing system, a scheme of mechanic is presented after comparing some kind of transmission methods. According to the scheme, the principle of motion transmission and influence to equipment control is explained in detail. Secondly, according to the requirement of testing system, a scheme of control system is presented, by which the control system works in the form of upper-lower computer. As the most important unit of this control system, the DSP Based AC Servo Card is designed to complete following task: data processing, speed data acquiring, control signal output and communication. Therefore, four styles of circuits associated as well as position testing circuit, multi channels signal acquiring circuit, multi channels signal output circuit and series communication circuit are researched. Thirdly, after analyzing mathematical model of AC servo motor, two kinds of methods are presented to solve two important control problems. The first is Model Reference Adaptive Control which is adopted to ensure speed synchronization of two motors running for motion in direction X . The second is Single Neural Adaptive PID Control which is adopted to realize coordinative control of two motors running for elevating motion in direction Z. Later, simulation is made to test two control method. Finally, experimental system is founded and experiment is conducted to test the validity of two control methods. According to the result of experiment, Model Reference Adaptive Control and Single Neural Adaptive PID Control is testified to be effective and will facilitate engineering realization of the project.
