| Piston ring is the key part and vulnerable part of automobile's engine. It can be produced by cold rolling of steel wire which has special-shaped section and required precision used in piston ring. This method can reduce cost of production and increase product quality. But this kind of steel wire with special-shaped section cannot be produced in our country, and most researchers of the cold rolling in our country spend their time in rolling of slab-strap steel, hot-rolled special-section steel, etc.Using explicit FEM analysis soft ANSYS/LS-DYNA, we have simulated the cold rolling process of the rectangle section and sophisticated section used in oil-ring in this dissertation. We also analyze the following aspects:(1) We have done some experiment and got mechanical property of the new material 6Crl3Mo used in this subject study.(2) We have analyzed the metal flow in the cold rolling process of the rectangle section and sophisticated section used in oil-ring.(3) We have got the curve of draught pressure in the rolling process and the distribution of von mises stress in the workpiece. We have also analyzed the factors which will be needed considering in the designing of new roller.(4) We have analyzed the variation of technological parameters in the rolling process when we change the depression value , diameter of roller, etc. The difference of these resultant have be received, and we can use the method derived from above resultant to solve the problems in the real rolling process. |
