By developing software of visualization in scientific computing to carry out the visualization in flood flow numerical simulations, which are very important to the development of controlling flood-engineering science. This paper introduces the research on the previous and post treatment technology and successfully realizes numerical simulation , graph drawing and interface designment by programming with mixed Languages.There are six chapters in this paper.In chapter 1, the outline of visualization in scientific computing is presented; the character and the present of domestic and overseas applications of visualization are introduced. In the last the major contents of the paper are stated.Chapter 2 has introduced the previous and post treatment technology, which has been referred, in the visual system. Especially, it has introduced how to produce the triangular grid of Delaunay, how to draw isoline, and how to come into being flow field of Lagrange. The triangular grids, which are produced based on the research approach of this text, can well adapt to the complicated topography in the natural river, can make conveniently net dense, and can meet various kinds of requests for the actual project. Through varying the color, drawing isoline can simulate vividly the gradual change of the water level when calculating flood. Dealing with the data of flow field by adopting the ameliorated algorithm of "Eular", we can show intuitionisticly uninteresting data by a way of dynamic image while calculating in the numerical simulation.In chapter 3, Programming with mixed Languages between Fortran and VB.NET is deep discussed; we integrate the mathematical programming of Fortran into the visualization module with the style of DLL, which and then communion with user through the graphic user interface.In chapter 4, A 1D and 2D combined mathematical model for unsteady hydraulic flow is set up. At the same time, measures to some key difficulties during the numerical simulation are put forward, such as the set of roughness and the treatment of moving boundary of river.In chapter 5, the whole visualization system in flood flow numerical simulation is introduced, included the frame of visualization system, the graphic user interface of software and the function that visualization system can be done.Finally, Chapter 6 sums up the whole paper and prospects further research work in the future.
