Study Of Variety Of Flow Velocity And Estimate Of Sediment Deposition For Offshore Alongshore Pile Wharf

With the development of coastal and offshore engineering , there is a serious sediment deposition in the neighborhood of fore and aft of alongshore pile wharf. The problems are paid more and more attention . So correlation production of variety of flow velocity and calculating the siltation volume alongshore pile wharf is summarized. Based the production , a physical model is built and making use of the physical model , to research the extent and range of variety of flow velocity of pile group in the pile wharf . the rules of tide alternating current is educed . at the same time , the estimate of sediment deposition that pile wharf was built is discussed . Analysis results show that main factor of sediment deposition is the increase of siltation time because of the decrease of flow velocity in the pile wharf caused by pile resistance effect. At last , a formula is elicited to calculate the siltation volume.
