Superconducting motor and torquer based on the Meissner effect of superconductorswere developed. There are five main aspects on the issue presented in the paper, andare described as follow.Analysis on Meissner effect and diamagnetic force of superconductors wasdiscussed in the chapter of working principle of superconducting motor and torquer.Calculation method was also deduced to evaluate the diamagnetic force in thedesigns.In the part of superconducting motor & torquer design, analysis of electromagneticconfiguration on four designs was carried out and the detail data on characteristic ofthe motor have been obtained as well.In the section of control method, rotating control plan was focused on. The planwas divided into three parts: measure system, logic control and driving system.To achieve the rotating control plan, a control circuit was designed, controlprogram was finished and the logic function of the control circuit was validated.Experiment and analysis were summarized at the end of the paper. Six sectionswere included in this paper: designing and machining of the central pillar frame,designing and machining of the tools to manufacture torquer coils, experimentation ontwist torquer coils, assemblaging of the central pillar, debugging the circuit,debugging the power supply.
