Because the steel tube-confined concrete (STCC) has many excellent properties such as: the high compressive capacity, aseismatic property , economizing steel and convenience in construction, STCC has been utilized in more and more fields and great attention has been paid to its design theory by the academe aroud the world . This paper focuses on the STCC component and investigates the resisting compression capability of that in the static load , then researches the stress- strain relationship presented by the experiment with the computer simulation result, and puts them use into the final analysis and calculation of the frame structure.Beginning with the application and development of the STCC in the world, We investigate the compressive capability in many ways. By adopting the finite-element analysis program - adina, we did the static force calculation on the STCC component, and also made dynamic analysis to the frame structure. We also made modal participation analysis of the structure using different simplified strain-stress relationship, and did dynamic calculation adopting the time transition ways on the seismic function results under some wave .The calculated results including the graphs and the curves sign the excellent character of STCC column as a compressive component. The internal forces and displacements as well as the seismic time transient analysis reveal that better character of the application of the component to frames structure .
