Based on NO.1 line of Shenzhen metro in china, this paper aims at looking for the model arithmetic of automatic train regulation (ATR), which must be fit for the characters of the urban traffic in our country and supported by the advanced intelligent technology. This paper is to be considered as a reference for our research on automatic train supervision system of the urban track traffic.This paper describes the pursuing course of trains in the form of the cutline of train graph. And then it analyzes the reason and regulation parameter of train's lateness and summarizes the possible strategies of urban track traffic. The 1st project of Shenzhen metro is regarded as an example to analyze the strategies of timetable offset and the combination of deceleration and acceleration by analyzing the interval conditions between the lateness trains. These interval conditions include the following train arriving at the railway station while the front train just leaves and the following train stopping out of the railway station. This paper erects the dynamic index architecture of train line and train graph by the means of the dynamic quality and auto-regulation of train graph. Considering the comparable ability among the different sections and pass-through abilities of train graph, it analyzes the dynamic index of train line and the calculation method of the ATR coefficient and the ATR flexibility. Combinating the application of expert system and describing the train graph by the means of mathematics, this paper founds the train auto-regulation model of the urban track traffic which integrates the restriction condition set and the optimization object set. Furthermore it discusses the ways of the restriction solution of expert system in details and the whole flow of ATR. At last, the architecture of train graph is introduced. What's more, three subsystems of the train graph are being analyzed in details. They are separately the train graph generation sub-system, the train graph regulation sub-system and the database administration sub-system. Some correspondent functions of the train graph and the train timetable with train auto-regulation arithmetic and strategy are achieved elementarily. Train regulation and trains regulation had been bothimitated in this paper. In addition, this research model has preferable practicality, it can be applied to the projects with difference train organization strategies. It is a significant attempt for the domestic research of ATS.
