As a perfect vehicle on land, high-speed maglev vehicle is characterized by high velocity, less energy consuming, lower noise, safety and comfort etc. The guidance technology is one of the nuclear techniques of the vehicular system. In this paper, control methods for the guidance control system is studied and based on the TR type maglev vehicle in Shanghai, a parameterized simulation model is set up for the system and the lateral dynamics performance is focused on.In this paper, control principle of maglev vehicle's guidance system is expatiated and nonlinear dynamic model of double electromagnets' guidance system is set up. With the method of linearizing around the equilibrium point, linear model and the state function are deduced. On the basis of the controllability and observability, closed loop control rules are designed, following with verification of performance and comparison of these methods through simulation. Then the whole vehicular system is introduced, reasonable physical model is simplified for the guidance system. Furthermore, blocks such as carbody, bogie and guide electromagnet are mechanically analyzed. An integrated dynamics model involving carbody, bogie module, railway and the controller is established. Next, simulation model with reasonable control rules and parameters of the system is set up with MATLAB. The lateral dynamics performance curves considering disturb forces, railway, vehicle's velocity and other factors are obtained by simulation and computation. Simulation result proves the correctness of the vehicle model and the control rules. Meanwhile, meaningful theoretical reference is presented for research on high-speed maglev vehicle's guidance control system.
