Location and speed detection system for high-speed maglev vehicle(HSMV) provide importance information of location, speed and direction for HSMV. It also send a signal to tract vehicle when HSMV run slowly. To detect the location and speed of high-speed maglev, a location and speed detecting scheme is proposed. In this scheme, the tooth-and-slots of LSM(linear synchronous motor) and the location reference leaves beside the track and detected as the relative and absolute location signals, respectively. The scheme is proved that it is satisfying every technology target by experiment. The relative location sensor plays an important role for location and speed detection system which is a critical component of HSMV. In this paper, a vary reluctance inductance method is developed and created for the relative location sensor. Accurate three-dimensional electromagnetism models of planar coils are established with Finite Element Analysis(FEA) software ANSYS and various inductance model are analyzed to reveal the planar coil's detection characteristic. The result will provide useful analysis method for the optimization of relative location sensor.A paralled circuit model is selected to transfer tooth-and-slot information to analog signal base analysis and experiment to various circuit model. The optimized parameter of circuit is adopt to make a optimal analog signal. The optimization arithmetic of software is adopt to achieve sensor's demarcated. The Electromagnetic Interference and temperature excursion of sensor is analyzed and method of eliminated disturb is given.
