| Lightweight sand-EPS beads soil (hereafter as LSES) is a new kind of light weight, high strength, filling materials which is made by maintaining the mixtures of sand, EPS beads, cement and water. With the merits of easy construction technology, good engineering performance, low cost and protecting the environment by restoring the castoffs, LSES has the widespread availability future. Considering that LSES are mainly used for shallow treating, the paper research the dynamic qualities of LSES, based on the dynamic triaxial test of low confining pressure, as follows:(1) The test materials, devices, and test process are introduced, the key problems and the matters needing attention are concluded in the paper.(2) After analyzing the test results, the author find that the relationship between stress-strain measures up hyperbolic curve, but presents linear change on the low confining pressure condition;shear modulus weakened with shear stain in hyperbolic curve, and the relationship with confining pressure was exponent direct ratio;the damping ratio is lower than that of normal soil, averaged at 0.1 and affected by confining pressure.(3) Researched influence of the factors such as EPS content, cements content, curing age and dynamic load on the stress-strain relationship, shear modulus and the damping ratio of LSES. |
