Cement concrete pavement is one kind of high-level pavements which can meet the transportation needs of heavy loads, high speed and heavy density of vehicles. Cement concrete pavements have many advantages, such as high strength, good stability, long performance life, low maintain expenses and so on. In some special highway sections, just like subway, bridge approach constructed on wet or super-wet subgrade, highway sections where drain not completely and water accumulation often happens, it is difficult to use the asphalt concrete pavements, so the cement concrete pavements are used extensively, but under these special conditions they are much more easily to be damaged than under the normal conditions. Analyzing the causes of the damage to cement concrete pavements will help to design and construct the cement concrete pavements correctly, to guaranteeing the quality of the cement concrete pavements and has great significance to promoting the development of cement concrete pavements.Causes of the damage to cement concrete pavements under special conditions are analyzed by setting up entity's structure model of the road using the software ANSYS, including gradient, strength of soil foundation , voids beneath concrete slabs , axial load , thickness of slabs , etc. An axial load moving through the cement concrete pavements is simulated by ANSYS and analyzed the dynamic response of the cement concrete pavements. Finally find out the reasons for pavement damages of special highway sections and make helpful suggestions for preventing and reducing pavement damages of special highway sections.
