The Wind Energy Evaluation Of Heilongjiang Province

This paper based on the 30years(1970-2000) meteorologic data (wind data, temperature data, barometric pressure data, and vapor pressure data) of Heilongjiang province and its rounding area month by month, and the precision elevation from Digital Elevation Model of Heilongjiang province. By using the interpolation algorithm of wind speed and wind power density, the monthly average wind speed and the monthly average wind power density of grid have been calculated, with GIS software as data processing platform. Moreover, their continuous maps have been completed, too. And, it gets some conclusions as following.1) Wind energy resources in Heilongjiang have been divided in to three regions, region with rich wind energy (> 100 w/m~2), region with usable wind energy (> 50 w/m~2 and < 100 w/m~2 ) and region with poor wind energy (< 50 w/m~2). The rich wind energy region include yilan(the middle area of songhuajiang river), jiamusi and its rounding areas, some county around the suihua and the plain which is between the north of the xingkai lake and the south of the sanjiang plain. The wind power density of the place mentioned above is beyond 100 w/m~2, and some of them are over 140 w/m~2. The usable wind energy region is the majority of the songnen plain and the sanjiang plain, and some of them are over 75 w/m~2. And the region with poor wind energy is the northern xiaoxinganling, the north-western daxinganling, and the southern hill (zhangguangcailing, laoyeling, and taipingling), whose wind power density is below 50 w/m~2.2) The distribution of the wind energy resources of the quarter in Heilongjiang are influenced by terrain of the Heilongjiang .The region of rich wind energy are plain and river valley, while the region of poor wind energy are mountains.3) Through the calculation, it gets distribution characteristics of the wind power density in Heilongjiang. The wind power density of Heilongjiang is the biggest period in spring (87.06 w/m~2), the smallest period in summer (26.13 w/m~2), the wind power density in autumn (55.21 w/m~2) is bigger than it's in winter (41.68 w/m~2).4) The dominant wind direction of Heilongjiang is bias W. The cause of the formation of wind direction is made in two aspects. In first aspect, it is influenced by the atmospheric circulation and monsoon .In the second aspect, it is influenced by the terrain of Heilongjiang. At the same time, the rich wind energy region shows high value in the map of wind power density about the dominant wind direction, while the area show low value in other wind direction.
