The boiler is an important burning equipment in a power plant. The combustion condition of it has a direct effect to the safety, economy and environmental protections of the power plant. So many studies are carried out focus on the combustion stability of boiler. Firstly, the article summarized influence factors and the reflection factors of the combustion stability, then studied the relationship between furnace press and combustion stability, and between flame detecting signal and combustion stability. The article divided the actual data of a certain power plant into eight typical models. Though analyzing, seven characteristics parameters were found which could show the combustion stability. Reliabilities were got though using SOFM and BP nerve networks. Finally, a example that found out a low load from the certain power plant and the future work were showed.
