This paper aims to getting the biomass briquettes fuel burning equipment to the market and realizing commercial produce. First the study analyzes the calculation reliance of the 1 st hot water boiler of biomass briquettes fuel, then aiming at the problem of it, such as higher hearth temperature, higher smoke temperature improved design is conducted and another smaller hot water boiler of biomass briquettes fuel is manufactured. Under 4 states thermal characteristics experiment is conducted, the highest combustion efficiency is 94.84%, the highest thermal efficiency is 80.81%, and other kinds of thermal characteristics parameter attain design requisition, the deficiency of the 1st generation is overcome. Comparing to the 1st generation, all kinds of thermal loss, thermal efficiency and combustion efficiency have the similar variance law, but the degree is different.(1) The heat elimination loss of improved design has apparently decreased. Before improved design the heat elimination loss is between 7.64% and 33.28% on 4 states, after improved design the heat elimination loss is between 1.11% and 10.32% on 4 states, after improved design 6.35~22.96% has been saved.(2) The exhaust smoke heat loss of improved design has apparently decreased. Before improved design the exhaust smoke heat loss is between 10.65% and 33.18% on 4 states, after improved design the exhaust smoke heat loss is between 7.58% and 17.07% on 4 states, after improved design 7.58~17.07% has been saved.(3) The thermal efficiency of improved design has increased. Before improved design the thermal efficiency is between 52.96% and 70.13% on 4 states, after improved design the thermal efficiency is between 63.99% and 80.81% on 4 states, after improved design 10.68~11.03% has been added.(4) The gas imperfect combustion loss, the solid imperfect combustion loss and the physical slag heat loss have increased. Before improved design the gas imperfect combustion loss is between 0.522% and 1.267% on 4 states, after improved design the gas imperfect combustion loss is between 2.13% and 6.72% on 4 states, after improved design 1.61~5.45% has been added. Before improved design the solid imperfect combustion loss is between 1.275% and 2.36% on 4 states, after improved design the solid imperfect combustion loss is between 3.26% and 4.44% on 4 states, after improved design 1.99~2.08% has been added.
