Due to the traditional power supply system about lead-acid storage battery has disadvantages of complexity, inconvenience in daily maintenance, low automation level, which couldn't satisfy with the need of modern navy campaign, a navy base put forward the request of reconstructive about the old power supply system of lead-acid storage battery. According to this, we brought forward the assumption " Parameter collection system of lead-acid storage battery based on CAN Field-bus." The main aim is to realize the automatic monitoring about the power supply system of lead-acid storage battery.This system was divided into several main parts: The first is parameter collection module. The second is CAN Field-bus. The third is PC with the function of data monitoring.Parameters collection module use 89C51 as its core which has three functions, parameters collection, disposal and sending. The parameters are the density of electrolyte, the height of liquid, voltage, current and temperature of battery.We use CAN Field-bus as data transmission Field-bus. Nowadays, it's one of the popular Field-bus which is a new technology in the field of automation. It has the advantages of terseness, high speed of transmission, strong capacity of anti-jamming, high reliability, opened protocol and low cost. This text introduced the hardware and software of CAN Field-bus.PC has the function of alarm and dynamic display of parameters.We use ultrasonic as measuring means of the density of electrolyte and the height of liquid. This method is more simple and effective than the traditional methods, which make it possible that the density of electrolyte and the height of liquid can be detected automatically.This paper has five chapters. Chapter one is system summarizing, which explains the whole system;Chapter two introduces the collection method of the residual electricity in storage battery;Chapter three introduces the collection of the electrolyte, voltage, temperature and current;Chapter four introduces the realization of the hardware and software about CAN transceiver;Chapter five is the conclusion.
