Catalytic combustion in the engine is an effective method to improve the combustion of nature gas and to reduce the pollutant in the exhaust gas, more and more researchers have been attracted into this area. The effect of catalytic combustion is influenced by the species of the catalysts and the way how to append the catalyst into the engine. In order to extend the technique of catalytic combustion, we must find a economic and effective catalyst, a suitable appending method is needed too. Researchers in and abroad have done many useful works in researching the species of the catalysts and appending ways, they have obtained many positive results. There are also some problems at how to appending the catalyst into the engine, for example, we must change the structure of the engine largely, the cost is very high, the interface of the catalyst and the fuel is very small, also most of these studies are dead against the gasoline and diesel oil engine, a few of them pay attention to the catalytic combustion in the nature gas engine.In this paper, catalytic combustion and pollutants character in engine have been simulated.At the same time, some significative conclusions have been gotten:after appending the catalysts into the engine, the temperature when the nature gas begin to born and the highest burning temperature in the engine declined, the concentration of the methane in the exhaust gas dropped. The noble metal catalyst has a better effect compared with the non-noble metal catalyst. Reduction possibility of CO,HC,NOx emission and gas consuming rate from a nature gas engine by means of additional injection of catalysts liquor into the beforehand admixture room was experimented too. The result shows that: The best flux of catalysts liquor is 1.05L/h, increasing the catalysts concentration has a good influence on catalytic combustion, but it is difficult to increase the catalysts concentration. Fe2O3 has a worse effect than CuO and Cu2O, Cu2O has a better effect than CuO in reducing CO and gas consuming rate, but CuO do well in reducing CH, the effect is changed with the temperature in the engine.The results would play an important role for further research of catalytic combustion for CNG engine. The results in this paper will be used for reference in studying gasoline and diesel vehicles.It has notable economy,society and environment benefit and it is useful for popularization of exhaust control technology.
