Composite wallboard structure is a promising structural system. Its developmentsand applications are the need of reformation of wall material of china. In order toreplace masonry structure and realize the introductions and applications of thisstructure in earthquake zone, based on the experimental research of seismicperformance of composite wallboard, the seismic performance and seismic bearingcapacity of composite wallboard structure were studied preliminarily.First, parameters of dynamic characteristics were obtained by the dynamic testfor an experimental structure of composite wallboard in 7 degree seismic zone.Second, theory of homogenization was introduced into the calculation offiber-reinforced plasterboard filled with concrete(composite wallboard) andRepresentative Volume Element ( RVE ) model of composite wallboard wasestablished. Elastic constants of RVE are obtained by using FEA software, ANSYS tosimulate, which provide an effective way to FEA calculation.Following an analysis of dynamic character and elastic earthquake response wasmade with FEA software, ANSYS. Tested results of modal analysis agree well withtested ones, which proved the feasibility of RVE model to calculate structure ofcomposite wallboard. And the comparison of dynamic character of structure ofcomposite wallboard and shear wall of reinforced concrete proved that the former issuperior in seismic performance to the latter.Finally, based on the result of quasi-static experiment of composite wallboard,skeleton curve of restoring force was established. A nonlinear time history analysiswas made by the floor shear vibration model. The results of analysis indicated thatcomposite wallboard structure has enough stiffness and sideways resistance capacity,so it can apply in 7 degree seismic zone. Meanwhile its ductility was increasedbecause of dissipation of energy of plaster board. In a word, composite wallboardstructure is a new ideal earthquake-resistance system.
