The compound untilization of renewable energy resources is an effective way topractice sustainable development strategy in our country. Solar and wind are twokinds of widely used renewable resources. There are complementary characteristicsbetween these two renewable resources. In regions far away from power transmissionnetwork, wind/solar generation makes affective effect. In order to promoteapplications of wind/solar hybrid generation, two problems must be well resolved.One is optimal unit sizing, another is operational control. The destination of theformer is to achieve the least investment collocation, while the later destination is toassure the hybrid generation system running normally itself. This paper, according tothe characteristics of wind and solar, makes an intensive analysis on the structure ofwind/solar hybrid generation system, then discusses how each part of wind/solarhybrid generation system work during the runtime. In succession, the paper putsforward operational control strategy. At last, judging by the control strategy, makinggood use of microcontrol technology, the paper narrates how to develop the controlsystem about wind/solar generation based on single chip computer. The controlsystem is successfully used in an actual project and gets good running effect. Besides,there are lots of other factors affect the control effect, thinking about these factors, thepaper makes some valuable suggestion which can help to perfect the control system inthe following research.
