Calibration Of Optical Probe For CMM

The technology of CMM non-contact scanning measurement, which has a lot ofunique advantages, plays a more and more important role in the field of Free-formsurfaces measuring. Laser triangulation probe is one of the most frequently usedoptical-probes. How to improve the measurement accuracy of CMM lasertriangulation non-contact scanning measurement is an important research direction.Because of its high speed and plug-and-play performance, PCI bus is nowbecoming the major bus of computer by taking the place of traditional ISA bus, and ithas the potentiality to develop further. In the past the CMM's grating signal circuitwas based on ISA bus, so it is necessary to develop the circuit based on PCI bus.The following work has being done in this project:1. A non-contact scanning measuring system, base on CMM, PH10 probe and lasertriangulation probe, is researched. The error compensation mathematical model of theinstallation posture is founded. This model fits not only the optical-probe, but also thetrigger-probe.2. The error compensation mathematical model of the trigger-probe's installationposture is simplified. A calibration algorithm is designed. The parameters of themodel are calculated by using the linearization method based on Gauss step by step.The experiments can been finished swiftly. The algorithm has much high accuracyand speed.3. An improved genetic algorithm, which adopts real coding, an arithmetic crossoveroperator, a gauss mutation operator and a modified elitist strategy, is deduced.Through the experiments, the effectiveness of CMM optical probe's calibration isproved.4. The CMM's grating signal circuit based on PCI bus is designed. A WDM driver ofthe PCI device in Windows2000/XP Operating System is given, which was developedunder DriverStudio and Visual C++.
