One of important methods on sea wave reseaches is the physical modelingconducted by a wavemaker in a flume or basin at laboratory, called Wave Model Test.At present, it has been widely applied in researches of coastal and ocean engineeringrelated to sea waves. The key problem in the wave experiment is to set up a practicalwave-making control system with responsibility for the simulation of various wavesand further to eliminate the re-reflected waves probably generated in a wave flume orwave basin.Based on a method of mixed-language programming of Fortran and Delphi, atwo-dimensional wavemaking control system has been developed in a 60m long, 1.6mwide and 1.8m high wave flume equipped with a wavemaker drived by a AC servomotor. The control system can be used to generate regular waves of different periodsand irregular waves by the way of sending digital pulse sigals to run the motormaking the paddle go forth and back. In addition, non-re-reflected regular waves havebeen obtained by Hilbert transform to separate the composite waves into incident andreflected waves. This control system has a simple and friendly user interface and is convenient tooperate. It can be useful and valuable to perform many teaching tests or other researchtasks.
