The underground engineering of pumped storage PowerStation (PSPs) is the typical underground geological engineering. It mainly contains underground powerhouse and conveyance system that built under geological entity. The complicated state of geology and project condition restricted mutually while also affected each other.With the New Austrian Tunneling Method(NATM) in the underground engineering,not only the construction quality is ensured,but also expedite the construction schedule. The construction scheme must bases on the geologic and design condition of the project and analyses suitability of construction scheme contrast to geological state. Construction arrangement and program and technique selection should be reasonably carried out, the analyse of rock's stability and construction effect should be feed backed by locale monitor.This text expatiates quite integrally and systemically on the typical construction engineering such as underground powerhouse, inclined shaft, vertical shaft, high pressure crotch pipe, test of water filling and drainage, ect. It introduces some new techniques, new materials and new equipments of underground engineering in past several years, and it also makes necessary analyses and demonstrations of principles in underground construction technology such as NATM.
