Simulation Analysis With FEM On Stability Of Bedding Rock Cutting Slope

Abstract/Summary:
The bedding rock slope is that kind of slope, of which the inclination direction is correspondent to rock stratum's inclination direction. The slope will slide easily on the soft structural surface when excavate formatting free end, or effected by disadvantage factors such as surface water erosion and so on. Along with the large-scale construction of mountain highway and fast development of the western part of China, problems about the bedding rock slope are standing out gradually. It is actually important to study on the problems of the bedding rock slope. By using the theoretical and numerical methods, the stability of bedding rock cutting slope is analyzed in this thesis. Firstly, the common diseases and failures of bedding rock cutting slopes are discussed. And the typical complete plane slide model of the bedding rock cutting slope is founded. Using the limit equilibrium principle, the analytic solution of the highest stable height of the bedding rock slope is deduced. Secondly, the mechanics model of the finite element and interface of bedding rock cutting slope is discussed. Based on the strength reduction theory, the methods for solving the safety coefficient and determining the failure state of the rock slopes are given. After that, according to practical condition, the analysis model of finite element for the bedding rock cutting slope is founded. With the strength reduction elasto-plastic FEM and ANSYS software, the stress, deformation and stability of the bedding rock cutting slope are analyzed, and the sliding force of the unstable slope is calculated. Farther, by analyzing the sensibility of the slope stability to such influencing parameters as strength of structural surface, thickness and inclination of rock stratum, the stability regularity of bedding cutting rock slope is obtained. In addition, the stress release of the bedding rock cutting slope in the excavation process and the failure criterion in the sliding simulation are discussed. The synthetic criterion for evaluating stability of the slope is proposed. The development and variation of the stress, deformation and stability of the bedding rock cutting slope in the excavation process are dynamic simulated and analyzed. Finally, the major protection and reinforcement ways for the bedding rock cutting slope are discussed briefly.
