| River closure is an integral part in the course of building water conservancy projects. Recently, the theories of river closure and the technology of river closure have been developing rapidly, among which vertical closure is the dominant one which has been successfully applied to the Three Gorges Project along the Changjiang River. Nevertheless, the difficulties of river closure vary from project to project, and the closure projects with greater difficulties are worthy of our research ; the key technologies are also worthy of being practiced.This thesis addresses the varieties of closure works , the corresponding characteristics of the closure works, the closure technology and the trend of development, with the first-stage closure works at Chaozhou Water Supply Pivot as an example so as to study the key technology and the characteristics of river closures with high water fall, high flow velocity, and weak foundation. This thesis is also a detailed presentation of the model study, mathematic analysis, construction process and the analysis and evaluation of the results at different stages.Chaozhou Water Supply Pivot is a representative project characterized by high water fall, high velocity, and weak foundation. The study of it and the result is of value to the similar cases , and key technology and solutions to the problems are worthwhile to be promoted. |
