Pulp-molding packaging products (pulp mold) are made of recycled trash paper, and used in cushion package and have the advantages of light mass, easy decomposability, good ventilation and so on. Pulp mold is a kind of environmental packaging material, the producing and using process of which won't make any pollution. At present, the design and producing technology of pulp mold comparatively hang behind, especially in the process of pulp mold' s produce, it costs huge energy and is inefficient. Upender pulp mold machine is a new environment protect and energy saving device, which is economical, practical and popular. However, a lot of researches are focused on the function about the design of the machine. The key technologies about the design are lack of further study in the squeeze dewatering, upender and linear rolling guide etc.This paper researched structure characteristics of pulp mold industrial packaging product firstly, analysed squeeze dewatering mechanism and squeeze dewatering process's characteristics to confirm main squeeze dewatering parameters and established mathematic model to present the relation curves of different squeeze dewatering parameters and the water gauge of wet green. The tests have been done to validate and the results can be used to adjust squeeze dewatering parameters.Based on the research of squeeze dewatering parameters, the paper provided the changing in the primary machine and added a squeeze dewatering increasing force machine. Increasing force machine demands longer stroke and bigger force magnification so that the device can not only get biggest templet average speed but also save labour and reduce energy consumption. Therefore the machine design is optimized. Through the result of the optimization design, stroke and force magnification have been enhanced evidently, then squeeze dewatering clamping machine and mechanical ability are advanced, which makes the molding machine get lowest energy consumption and highest efficiency.At the same time, upender machine's key parts such as linear rolling guide are all designed and analysed for reliability and optimization in the paper. The traditional solid axis is improved to become hollow to lighten the machine's weight and interference joint of hollow axis has been the finite element method analysed by the ANSYS. By the design of reliability and optimization, upender machine's abilities become more reliable, the volume and costs of the machine reduces availably.The way of optimization design not only changes the inaccurate method in the past design of the machine, which depends on the experience, analogy, approximate account and so on, but also releases the designer from the fussy account and additional work and establishes the base for the molding machine CAD.
