This paper mainly introduced an dynamic measurement of the "wheel-rail contact state". The basic technique used in "Equipment" was CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image measurement. First, wheel-rail contact state knowledge related to the research is introduced. We draw the conclusion that inspection technique based on digital image, the composition and process of the device is also given. The main work of this thesis is image collecting, image processing and image analysing. The image collection include the design of optical source direction, the design of camera parameter, the design of optical source parameter, the design of optical system and mechanical device, and several locale test. Image processing theory is researched, analysed and discussed in image processing part, and the image of the "wheel-rail contact state" is processed by Visual C++ and Matlab coding, picking-up object curve, aberration emendation, and coordinate transformation, Every arithmetic is compared and the best image processing arithmetic is chose to the thesis.The system is based on the Non-contact image detecting technology, including the optical technology, photo electricity technology, digital image processing technology and software engineering and so on, the system could detect dynamically the "wheel-rail contact state", so it have positive effect on the railway maintain, security of railway and so on.It point out the defects of the device and proposed some schemes to solve these problem.
