With the development of modern electronic, hydraulic and computer technology, study on digital hydraulic valve has theory and reality condition. One of the great discoveries in the last century was giant magnetostrictive material (GMM), and many people in different countries have been developing applied products based on GMM. The dissertation analyzes several different hydraulic controlling valves, mainly high speed on-off valves. And then it puts forward study on the high speed switch valve, using GMM as valve's core, adopting DSP as controller and designing bus communication interface.Firstly the paper introduces performance and applied theory of GMM, establishing the static and dynamic model of giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA) and emulating dynamic model, expatiating the characteristic of GMA applied in the general and on-off case, designing the high speed switch valve with double-joint wimble structure.Secondly the dissertation adopts TMS320LF2407, a digital signal processor, as controller of the high speed on-off valve, designing controlling circuit, communication circuit, etc. It particularly analyzes and designs the high speed on-off valve controller's hardware, including power, display, serial communication and CAN communication circuit. Then it mainly designs circuit of driving GMA through power amplifier. In this section, the dissertation adopts photocoupler between CPU and power amplifier, and thus improves system's reliability and security. Moreover, it uses double power supply in driving GMA. The analysis shows that the GMA's response time is shortened and response frequency of the high speed on-off valve is increased.The dissertation programs software of the high speed on-off valve, including display, serial communication, CAN communication and PWM signal control module.At last the dissertation analyzes the movement characteristic of the high speedon-off valve's core and PWM's influence on the movement of valve's core. It also analyzes static and dynamic characteristic of the high speed on-off valve, putting forward method of improving dynamic characteristic.
