Aimed at the defects of conventional temperature sensors and control methods used in hyperthermia, a radio-frequency hyperthermia system used to treat brain glioma is designed here, which adopting high precision digital temperature sensor DS18B20 and programmable logic device FPGA to realize the measure and control of heating field. The contents include: (1) analyse the virtues and shortcomings of the primary heating and measure techniques used in hyperthermia. (2) Study the temperature-distribution of the two-electrode capacitive RF hyperthermia installation in the asymmetrical brain tissues by computer software. Thus it provides theory direction for the system design next step. (3) Summarize the characteristics of EDA technique and FPGA devices, and the configuration, function and communication protocol of the digital temperature sensor DS18B20. (4) Introduce the method of the whole system to realize the measure and control of the heating field at length; on account of the hyperthermia object is uncertain, fuzzy control arithmetic is selected as the control arithmetic of the system. (5) In order to test whether the hyperthermia temperature measure and control system designed reach the hyperthermia demands, heating experiments are done using the pig as the object, and the experiments data and time/temperature figures are given. From the experiment results we can see that the effect of temperature measure and control of the heating field is accord with the hyperthermia request.
